New promotional tools for LuXembourg - Let's make it happen

On the occasion of the national holiday, the national image brand promotion, unit of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, better known as the "LuXembourg - Let's make it happen" (LMIH) initiative, is launching a series of new digital and analog tools: the campaign Luxembourg. Our Common Ground, the web series Faces of Luxembourg, the creative project Grow featuring the work of eight Luxembourgish illustrators as new additions to the "LuXembourg Collection," the Fakelzuch video game especially for a young audience, and a booth with activities on June 22 in the heart of the capital.

These tools, targeting an international audience, will be presented to the public in Luxembourg so that, following the example of the invitation "LuXembourg - Let's make it happen", in the context of the national day and beyond, everyone can contribute to making Luxembourg's values and faces known in the world.

"Luxembourg. Our Common Ground" – celebrating together, what unites us

The diversity of cultures, languages and histories enriches daily coexistence and nurtures the entrepreneurial spirit that has made Luxembourg what it is today: a common ground for some 660,000 people from over 180 nations who speak on average 3.6 languages and who live, work and shape Luxembourg's future together.

This is highlighted by the new campaign Luxembourg. Our common ground. which LMIH is presenting as part of the upcoming celebrations. The centerpiece is the new film of the same name, directed by Stephen Korytko (filmmaker) and produced by Raoul Schmitz. The film seeks to show in an inspiring way the richness, beauty and diversity of Luxembourg. It aims to value our differences while encouraging the celebration of commonalities.

Making Luxembourg's values and faces known

With the web series "Faces of Luxembourg", the campaign continues immediately: here, personalities who are not necessarily known yet, but deserve to be known, tell their stories. With their passion and commitment, they embody Luxembourg's priorities of creativity, diversity and sustainability, and show how the country was able to play a role as an enabler of their careers.

The campaign goes online on June 22 on the new website ourcommonground.lu as well as on the social channels of "Luxembourg - Let's make it happen" (LMIH) and numerous committee members and partners.

"Grow": 8 Luxembourg artists involved in a creative project

Eight Posters and just as much postcards by eight illustrators from Luxembourg are also presented, exploring different facets of the country in a creative and inspiring way. Developed in collaboration with Julie Conrad and Jan Glas, this project, which embodies the LuXembourg Collection's transition towards a range of local, sustainable and contextualised items (through storytelling about their producers or designers), has resulted in eight original creations in national colours. (Leaving the choice of color techniques and proportions up to the artists). Participating in the project were (in alphabetical order): Lynn Cosyn, Kamil Iwaszczyszyn, Irina Moons, Henri Schoetter, Margaux Soulac, Charl Vinz, Florence Weiser and Alain Welter.

The posters and postcards will be available at luxembourgcollection.lu from June 22 and at Luxembourg House, 2 Rue de l'Eau, 1449 Luxembourg City, from July 1.

New video game "Fakelzuch": the adventures of "Reeni", the little intrepid fox.

"Fakelzuch" is an interactive 3D video game inspired by the traditional torchlight procession on National Day. This new digital twist on the tradition is aimed primarily at a young audience and invites gamers to follow a little fox named "Reeni" through the regions of Luxembourg. The goal is to have his torch burning by the time he arrives in Luxembourg City, lighting up the fortress with fireworks. This game will be gradually developed and adapted for future occasions (e.g. Christmas) so that it becomes a participative and sustainable promotional tool.

The game "Fakelzuch" can be downloaded from the official app stores for devices with Android and iOS operating systems.

Activities on the evening of the National Day

Finally, the initiative "LuXembourg - Let's Make It Happen" (LMIH) will be present in the capital on June 22, the evening before the National Day, with a stand offering a series of informative, fun and interactive activities for the whole family: Face painting and coloring for children, wheel of fortune and testing of the newly developed video game "Fakelzuch".

At the Dicks-Lentz Monument in the Place d'Armes, on June 22 from 5 to 10 pm.
