Directorate of European Affairs and International Economic Relations

The Directorate of European Affairs and International Economic Relations (Directorate II) comprises the following three divisions: 1. European Affairs, 2. International Economic Policy and 3. Bilateral Relations and Regional Cooperation. Under the responsibility of the Director of European Affairs and International Economic Relations, it ensures the coordination of European policy between ministerial departments, the definition and representation of international economic policy in multilateral organisations and supports the development of bilateral relations with the countries of the European Union, of European Free Trade Association (EFTA) and candidate countries for EU accession.
