Lifting of the temporary suspension of scheduled passenger flights arriving from the United Kingdom and departing from the Grand Duchy to the United Kingdom

The temporary suspension of scheduled passenger flights from the United Kingdom and departing from the Grand Duchy to the United Kingdom is lifted as of this Wednesday, 23 December 2020 at midnight.

From tomorrow, all flights will be able to operate.

Passengers returning to Luxembourg must meet the following conditions:

  • be in possession of a negative PCR test that is less than 48 hours old;
  • be in possession of a negative PCR test dating between 48 and 72 hours. These people have to undergo a new PCR test at Luxembourg airport and have to put themselves in self-quarantine until the test result is obtained.

Antigenic tests are also accepted under the same conditions. These include tests that achieve a sensitivity of ≥80% and a specificity of ≥97% compared to PCR tests in line with the criteria established by the WHO (Antigen detection in the diagnosis of SARS-CoV-2 infection using rapid immunoassays.
